WHO SHOULD ATTEND

  • Universities eager to offer their students highly advanced tools required to keep up with global developments

  • Consultants searching to gain expertise on the transformation from linear to circular

APPROACH.

Participants  act as the management of a virtual company, designing and executing a circular strategy: you decide on suppliers to source from, the quality and recyclability of materials to buy, the cost and process of reusing, recycling and repairing – basically the sort of challenges that any real business currently has to deal with.

It comprises multiple rounds, with each round representing one business year. The results depend on the decisions made by each role. The strategic layer in the game gives the company direction and also guides each team’s tactical decision-making.

The Blue Connection requires the participants to make completely new decisions that are focused on the topic of the circular economy. The simulation tool has several possible outcomes and the transformation will fail if there is a lack of collaboration and alignment. A company can only be successful when it executes its chosen strategy consistently and implements it at a tactical level.

VERSATILE CONFIGURATIONS

The Blue Connection is very versatile in its possible configurations. Training sessions can be set up varying in length of half a day up to multiple days. The strategy game is aligned with the current trend in which more and more companies are making the transition from a linear business model to a circular one.

GAME SETUP IN A NUTSHELL

  • Participants play the online simulation in teams of 4 people; either virtually or in a classroom setting.
