LEAN SUPPLY CHAIN ALIGNMENT

Is there such a thing? I'm not so sure.

I was reviewing a bunch of candidates and profiles and tons of people doing lean projects but I couldn't find a one who was applying Lean to the strategy and alignment of a supply chain.

Realistically there probably is somewhere but I'm still looking. As an informal poll, you tell me. How many of you are looking at how a company sets lot sizes, safety stocks, service levels, intake times, payment terms, and so on and so on.

Yes... I know... lean says get rid of inventory... and get rid of time.... and all the other things.

But my question is:

Who's looking to see if all this decision making at an aggregate level is making sense and aligned behind a strategy?

There is Hoshin Kanri but that seems to be more used for alignment of projects, not answering the question of how do you want to run your business

So I/m making up my own name and calling it Lean Supply Chain Alignment
