HOW MANY OF YOU REALLY THINK YOU KNOW SUPPLY CHAIN FINANCE?

I thought I did.... WRONG!!! I thought it's all about making money,, paying your bills, cash flow, EBITDA, and the like. Little did I know. When I played The Cool Connection simulation for the first time I had two reactions. One was "Holy Cats!!- Where have I been!!!" The other one was, "37 years in supply chain and I feel sooooo inept right now" Needless to say my self esteem took a severe blow after the first round of play. By the end of playing The Cool Connection though, I at least felt like a novice with hope. I learned about Tax Efficiency, Foreign Exchange Risk, Treasury management, and all sorts of other cool stuff. I also found myself getting cranky at my professors and mentors.

"HOW COME NOBODY TOLD ME ABOUT THIS STUFF- I WANT AN ANSWER!!!

Anyhow, I think as supply chain professionals we really need to learn about this stuff. Yes I use The Cool Connection in my training and consulting but I'm also a supply chain professional like you are and we are entering an age where the effective and efficient use of capital is fast becoming the next frontier of our work as well as the opportunity to sustain our competitive advantages.

If you're interested in learning more about The Coll Connection and walking through a demo round together with me, let me know! I'd be happy to share with you a pretty cool experience!
